Taste of London

Staying in Marylebone service apartments in london this June and love discovering new foods? Then the Taste of London festival in Regents Park should not be missed.

For just five days between 13 and 17 June, Regents Park comes alive with unforgettable tastes and smells. Often described as ‘the World’s Greatest Restaurant Festival,’ it is a true foodie wonderland.  Roaming among the countless stalls selling artisan food, sampling special dishes or watching top chefs demonstrate their skills, you are spoilt for choice as to what to do next.

Taste of London has been running for several years and has become the highlight of London food lovers calendar.  It is now a ‘must visit’ attraction for thousands of people every summer. This year the organisers anticipate that around 55,000 people will be attending this stunning festival.

So what exactly is on offer?

To start with there are the restaurants.  40 of London’s best restaurants will be attending and showing off the most highly rated dishes on their menus.  Visitors can book to attend a special lunch or dinner tasting dishes made by top chefs.

New skills can be acquired by watching and learning from top chefs.  Many of London’s top barbeque chefs will be demonstrating how to sizzle, sear and roast food in the Fire Pit.

Champagne producer Laurent-Perrier has joined forces with chefs to celebrate the 50th year of its Cuvé Rosé. There will be masterclasses available allowing visitors to learn about the history of the wine and how it is made. Visitors can also easily locate numerous exceptional and centrally located holiday apartments London.

Prefer cocktails? Then the Ketel One Kitchen has the perfect answer teaching guests how to create Bloody Mary and Expresso Martini cocktails.  Or try crafting highballs with Johnnie Walker. Other drinks are equally in evidence as visitors can learn how to pair wines, discover the delights of the Fiji Water Experience, drink craft beer at the House of Hops or taste champagne beer from Cornwall.

And of course there are lots of tasters to be had at stalls throughout the festival.  This is where you can try food and see what you like or dislike. The Artisan Producer Market offers a wide selection of the best wine, cheese, characuterie, cakes and more from all over the UK.  While for those wanting to know what the next big trend is likely to be, the Start Up Collective Market has the answers. This is where the upcoming generation of superstar food and drink brands can be found.

Taste of London offers something for everyone - the only problem is that it can be hard on the waistline!
